Seit 2013 besteht die Zusammenarbeit mit der Performancekünstlerin Hiroyo Kitao aus Japan, die ich durch die Teilnahme an ihren Workshops zu ihrer Methode Shintai-goto, in den Jahren zuvor, kennengelernt hatte.

Im Zusammenführen von Hiroyo Kitaos Bewegungskunst und meiner Zeichnung entstand die Möglichkeit, Umgebung nicht nur wahrzunehmen, sondern auch als etwas im Wandel Befindliches zu begreifen und erlebbar zu machen.

Ausgehend von der Idee der Resonanz beziehen wir uns im jeweiligen Metier aufeinander und korrespondieren und kommunizieren mit dem Raum und der Umgebung, wobei die Wahrnehmung sich in Bewegung im Raum sowie im Prozess des Zeichnens im weitesten Sinne ausdrückt.

The Japanese performance artist Hiroyo Kitao and I have been working together since 2013. I met her whilst taking part in a Shintai-Goto workshop which she gave in Cologne.

Through the combination of Hiroyo’s "movement art" (身体事 /Shintai-Goto) and my drawings a method has been created for not only perceiving and documenting surroundings but also perceiving them as an experience - something in constant state of change.

The starting point is the resonance between our two disciplines, which meet, interact and communicate with space and surroundings. Thus the perception of self in space and surroundings and the process of drawing lends expression to this.

In the performance "resonance signs" which was created in my studio in Germany in 2014 the lines and shapes on the floor of the room are the starting point for Hiroyo Kitao's movements. Here the interactive aspects are visable, every shape in the special-room creating in turn new space and form. So we interact and react to each other and a perceivable change in the space takes place.

Comings and goings, drawings and movement become visible. It is a process in the sense of constant drawing and continuous changing of movement.

We would like to continue our multidiscipline work in different locations in order to explore the possibilities that this new form of perception and expression offers.
